Before drawing, you can set the following properties:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Number of Sides:<\/strong> Define how many sides your polygon will have (e.g., 5 for a pentagon, 6 for a hexagon).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Start Angle:<\/strong> Adjust the initial rotation of the shape.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Draw the Polygon:<\/strong> Click on the canvas, hold the mouse button, and drag to define the position and size of your polygon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Finalize the Shape:<\/strong> Release the mouse button to finalize the shape.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Useful Tip:<\/strong> The Polygon tool remains active after you create a shape, allowing you to draw multiple polygons. To exit the tool and return to the selection cursor, simply <strong>right-click<\/strong> on the design area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Part 2: How to Edit an Existing Polygon<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a polygon is created, you can still modify it using two different methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method 1: Using the Tool Options Bar<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This method is ideal for changing the polygon&#8217;s core properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the polygon shape you wish to edit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With the shape selected, go to the <strong>&#8220;Tool Options&#8221;<\/strong> bar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can change the <strong>Number of Sides<\/strong> or <strong>Start Angle<\/strong> at any time, and the selected shape will update instantly.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method 2: Using the Node Editor<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This method is used for quick visual adjustments to the shape&#8217;s position, size, and rotation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the polygon shape.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter <strong>Node Editing<\/strong> mode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will see that the polygon does not have standard nodes. Instead, it has <strong>&#8220;special nodes&#8221;<\/strong> that control its properties:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Start Angle Node:<\/strong> Use this node to visually click and drag the polygon&#8217;s rotation (start angle).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Size\/Proportion Node:<\/strong> Use this node to click and drag, changing the overall size and proportion of the shape, just as you did when first drawing it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Center Node:<\/strong> Use this node to click and drag the shape to a new position without changing its other properties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Part 3: Advanced Manual Editing (Convert to Curves)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you need to manually edit the individual points of the polygon (e.g., make one side longer than the others or curve a specific line segment), you must first convert it from a &#8220;shape&#8221; to a &#8220;vector object.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the polygon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the <strong>&#8220;Convert to Curves&#8221;<\/strong> function (typically found in a right-click menu or the main toolbar).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> Once you convert the polygon to curves, the special nodes for adjusting sides, start angle, and size will no longer be available.
