Click on the &#8220;Pie Shape&#8221; icon to activate the tool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Draw the Pie:<\/strong> Click and hold the left mouse button on the design area. Drag the mouse to define the desired position and size of your pie shape.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Finalize the Shape:<\/strong> Once you release the mouse button, the pie shape is created. The tool will remain active, allowing you to add more pie shapes immediately.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Release the Tool:<\/strong> When you are finished adding pie shapes, right-click on the design area or click on the &#8220;Rectangle Selection&#8221; tool to exit the pie shape tool.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Customizing a Pie Shape<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can customize the properties of a pie shape either <em>before<\/em> you draw it or <em>after<\/em> it has been created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Customizing Before Drawing:<\/strong> With the pie shape tool active, look at the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.drawstitch.com\/blog\/knowledge-base\/how-to-use-numeric-transformations-and-the-tool-options-bar\/\">Tool Options Bar<\/a><\/strong>. You can set the <strong>Start Angle<\/strong> and <strong>End Angle<\/strong> values here, and all subsequent pie shapes you draw will have these properties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Customizing After Drawing:<\/strong>\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select an existing pie shape on your design.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Tool Options Bar<\/strong> will display the properties for the selected shape.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can adjust the <strong>Start Angle<\/strong> and <strong>End Angle<\/strong> values, and the selected pie shape will update in real-time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Editing with the Node Editor<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more direct and visual adjustments, you can use the node editor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the pie shape you wish to edit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Activate the &#8220;Node Editor&#8221; tool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will see several special nodes on the pie shape:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Start Angle Node:<\/strong> Drag this node to visually adjust the starting point of the pie arc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>End Angle Node:<\/strong> Drag this node to visually adjust the ending point of the pie arc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Radius\/Proportion Node:<\/strong> This node on the outer edge allows you to change the size and proportion (width\/height) of the pie, just as you did when first drawing it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Center Node:<\/strong> Click and drag this node to re-position the entire pie shape.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Converting to Curves (Advanced Edit)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you need to manually edit the outline of the pie beyond what the special nodes allow, you must convert it into a standard vector object.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the pie shape.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the &#8220;Convert to Curves&#8221; command (often found by right-clicking or in an &#8220;Arrange&#8221; menu).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The shape is now a standard object, and you can edit its individual nodes (corners, curves) as you would any other shape.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Important:<\/strong> After you convert a pie to curves, the special nodes for adjusting angles and radius will no longer be available.
