Using the &#8216;Directions&#8217; Tool (Red Line)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Directions<\/strong> tool allows you to set the angle of the stitches within an object.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>With Stitch Flow active, select the <strong>Directions<\/strong> tool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.drawstitch.com\/blog\/knowledge-base\/how-to-transform-designs-move-resize-rotate-skew\/\">Move<\/a> your mouse over the selected object. The cursor will look like it&#8217;s holding a <strong>red dot<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Click and drag<\/strong> your mouse across the object to draw a red line. This line represents the new stitch angle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Release the mouse. The stitches will immediately regenerate to follow the direction you set.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important Note:<\/strong> For <strong>Step<\/strong> objects, you can only have one stitch direction. Drawing a new direction line will automatically replace the previous one. Using the &#8216;Divide&#8217; Tool (Green Line)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Divide<\/strong> tool is used to split a single <strong>Satin<\/strong> or <strong>Piping<\/strong> object into multiple sections. Each section can then have its own unique stitch direction, allowing you to create more dynamic and realistic embroidery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select a <strong>Satin<\/strong> or <strong>Piping<\/strong> object and activate <strong>Stitch Flow<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From the toolbar, select the <strong>Divide<\/strong> tool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Move your mouse over the object&#8217;s outline. The cursor will now look like it&#8217;s holding a <strong>green dot<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Click and drag<\/strong> from one side of the object&#8217;s outline to the other to create a green dividing line.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Release the mouse. The object is now split into two sections along that line.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can continue adding more divide lines as needed. Editing and Deleting Lines<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can easily modify or remove any direction or divide line you create.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>To Edit a Line:<\/strong> Click and drag the small <strong>dots<\/strong> at either end of the line to change its position or angle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>To Delete a Line:<\/strong> Click the <strong>&#8216;X&#8217; icon<\/strong> that appears in the middle of the line. Deleting a direction line will revert the stitches to their default direction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Useful Tip:<\/strong> You can only edit lines for the tool that is currently active. For example, to edit a <strong>green divide line<\/strong>, you must have the <strong>Divide<\/strong> tool selected.
