As you drag, a line will appear showing the path of your measurement, and the distance will be displayed dynamically.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Release the left mouse button to complete the measurement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Useful Tip:<\/strong> The Measure tool remains active after you release the mouse, allowing you to take multiple measurements consecutively without needing to reactivate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 3: Deactivating the Measure Tool<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you have finished measuring, you can easily deactivate the tool in one of three ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Right-click once anywhere in the design area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select any other tool from the toolbars.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.drawstitch.com\/blog\/knowledge-base\/how-to-select-single-and-multiple-objects\/\">Rectangle Selection tool<\/a><\/strong> icon in the convenient flyout that appears while the Measure tool is active.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Additional Sizing and Reference Tools<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond point-to-point measurement, DRAWings PRO XII offers other ways to understand the scale of your design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Change Measurement Units:<\/strong> You can switch between the metric system (mm, cm) and the imperial system (inches) to work in the units you are most comfortable with. This setting can typically be adjusted in the software&#8217;s main options or preferences panel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Use the Grid:<\/strong> For a constant visual sense of size and alignment, you can enable the design grid.
